The biggest and most prestigious open competition in the Freestyle Football global circuit, the Super Ball World Open, is back in 2026! This year, the event goes back to the roots to better serve the global community and moves to the city of Amersfoort, in the Netherlands, to be held in a unique location – a true Home of Champions!

The 2026 edition of Super Ball will take place at the GymXL arena, the gym where the current male 1×1 Battles Champion, Jesse Marlet, trains regularly. The best freestylers from all over the world, including an estimated 500 participants from over 40 countries, will gather between August 17th and 23rd to show off their best skills in an attempt to be crowned champions across the different categories of the event for both male and female athletes.

Over the week, the event will also play host to the Freestyle Football Congress, a unique platform created by the WFFA to discuss and forge the future of the sport together with the global community.

Just like its predecessors, Super Ball 2026 will be an open event: this means athletes of all levels, genders and nationalities will be able to participate, including the youngest ones thanks to the NextGen tournament for freestylers under the age of 16. The athletes competing in this tournament will need to be 15 years of age or younger on the check-in date.

The dates of the registration process will be announced on the official channels of the WFFA. Following the regular practice of all WFFA events, there will be no extensions, so all athletes who haven’t signed up by the end of the registration period will not be allowed to compete. Signing up on site to participate is not allowed!

More information about the event, including the registration dates and process, the different categories, the hotel discounts and the services available in the city, will be announced very soon. Stay tuned to the official channels of the WFFA!

This year’s competition will take place on a fully digital basis between the months of October and November. In order to offer the best and easiest experience to the athletes, the tournament will utilise FS Meet for registration and results, as well as WhatsApp to manage the competition.

Following the tradition, the 2025 edition of the NextGen Championship event will culminate in a live final that will be broadcast on the official channels of the WFFA: the best male and female u16 freestylers in the world will be crowned champions!

Remember: to participate in the NextGen Championship, you must be 15 years of age or younger on the date in which registrations close. See below for more information!

    Registration

Registrations for the 2025 WFFA NextGen World Championship cost 5€ and will be open between October 17th and October 31st. All freestylers are asked to sign up using the corresponding FS Meet widget; however, if a freestyler is not able to pay via credit card or PayPal, they are kindly asked to send an email to next.gen@worldfreestylefootball.org and the team will get back to them with alternatives.

Important: no new signups will be accepted after October 31st, so make sure to register on time!

To sign up, please visit the FS Meet page of the event and follow the registration process, including the uploading of the corresponding Parental Form. Once your form is approved, you will receive a WhatsApp message with all instructions on how to participate.

Do not forget that, in order to participate, you will need to be 15 years of age or younger when registrations close on October 31st, 2025!

    Competition structure

This year, the WFFA NextGen World Championship will follow this timeline:

    • October 17th to October 31st: Registration period. Signing up for the event costs 5€; if a freestyler is not able to pay with credit card or PayPal, they just need to send an email to next.gen@worldfreestylefootball.org and the team will offer them an alternative. No registrations will be accepted after October 31st at 23:59h CEST
    • November 3rd to November 8th: Circles Stage. The Tournament Manager will be in touch with all participants to send them the participation instructions and retrieve their videos. Beware: videos sent after the corresponding deadline will NOT be accepted
    • November 11th to November 23rd: Knockout stage. The final structure will be communicated on the official channels of the WFFA. The Tournament Manager will be in touch with all qualified participants to send them the corresponding instructions and retrieve their videos. Beware: videos sent after the corresponding deadline will NOT be accepted
    • November 30th: Live Finals on the official platforms of the WFFA

    Format

The tournament will begin with the Circles stage, in which freestylers will be split into groups and asked to send three videos for the judges to give it their scores on a scale from 1 to 10. The freestylers with highest scores across all Circles will progress onto the next stage, regardless of their position in said Circles; the general ranking coming from these Circles (that is, the total amount of points earned by each freestyler, accumulating the points earned by each of their three videos) will be used to determine the battles in the Knockout Stage.

In case of a draw between two athletes, the usual tie breaking system applies and the winner is decided by the judge count. Each judge’s choice is counted as one vote, so the player who gets the majority of judges’ votes wins: for example, if two judges scored one player higher and one judge favoured the other, the first athlete will win 2–1.

Once the Circles are complete, the Knockout Stage will take place on a fully online basis, with the Tournament Manager contacting the athletes to request their videos. The definitive structure will be announced on the official channels of the WFFA.

Beware: throughout all online qualifiers, any freestyler who doesn’t send their videos on time will be disqualified.

Last but not least, the best freestylers will make it to the Grand Finals, happening in a live event which will be broadcast on the official channels of the WFFA. More information and the corresponding links to follow the Finals live will be posted on the channels of the Association: stay tuned!

    Rules

The 2025 edition of the WFFA NextGen Championship will use the Official Rules of Freestyle Football for its battles. Any specific rules and regulations affecting the competition will be published on the corresponding page of the WFFA website.

    · Double Routine: a spectacle of synchrony in which two athletes work together to show their most amazing moves combined.

    · Iron Man & Woman: a marathon in basic lower body combinations and stamina – only for the toughest athletes!

Remember: to participate in the Youth Championship, you must be 15 years of age or younger on the date in which registrations close. See below for more information!

    Registration

Registrations for the 2024 WFFA NextGen World Championship cost 5€ and will be open between October 9th and November 9th. All freestylers are asked to sign up using the corresponding GameDay widget; however, if a freestyler is not able to pay via credit card or PayPal, they are kindly asked to send an email to next.gen@thewffa.org and the team will get back to them with alternatives.

Important: no new signups will be accepted after November 9th, so make sure to register on time!

To sign up, follow this process:

    1. Go to the GameDay page of the event and follow the registration process, including the uploading of the corresponding Parental Form at the end
    2. When your form is approved, you will receive a Whatsapp message and you will be able to send the qualification video
    3. The team of judges will select the best 64 videos (32 for boys and 32 for girls) and rank them to progress onto the Circles stage of the competition

Do not forget that in order to participate you will need to be 15 years of age or younger when registrations close on November 9th, 2024.

    Competition structure

This year, the WFFA NextGen World Championship will follow this timeline:

    • October 9th to November 9th: Registration period. Signing up for the event costs 5€; if a freestyler is not able to pay with credit card or PayPal, they just need to send an email to next.gen@thewffa.org and the team will offer them an alternative. No registrations will be accepted after November 9th at 23:59h CET
    • November 12th to November 19th: Qualification stage. Freestylers will be asked to send their qualification videos between those dates. No videos will be accepted after November 19th at 23:59h CET
    • November 22nd to November 29th: Extra Battles, happening via Whatsapp. No videos will be accepted after their respective deadlines; if a freestyler sends fewer than the regular 3 videos (one per round), he or she will be disqualified
    • December 2nd to December 16th: Top 32 and Top 16 in 1×1 Battles format, all happening via Whatsapp. No videos will be accepted after their respective deadlines; if a freestyler sends fewer than the regular 3 videos (one per round), he or she will be disqualified
    • December 22nd: Grand Finals (Quarterfinals, Semifinals, Bronze Battles, Finals) happening on a live event; participants will get all information beforehand so they can prepare accordingly

    Format

In the qualification stage, freestylers will be asked to send a video for the judges to rank it. The resulting clips will be evaluated by the judges, who will give them scores on a scale from 1 to 10. These marks will be added up, and the participants will then be ranked according to their total score. In case of a score draw between two freestylers, the Head of Judging will intervene and use his quality vote to break the tie.

Once the qualification videos have been thoroughly evaluated, Circles will then be created according to the aforementioned ranking from the qualification stage and following the usual seeding procedure: the freestyler ranked first will be placed in a group with the last, the second with the second last, and so on.

In the Circles, the judges will evaluate and score each of the three videos sent by the participants on a scale of 1 to 10. The best freestylers will progress onto the next stage; the general ranking coming from these Circles (that is, the total amount of points earned by each freestyler, accumulating the points earned by each of their three videos) will be used to determine the battles in the Top16. In case of a score draw between two freestylers, their marks in the Qualification stage will be used to break the tie. If a freestyler doesn’t send their videos on time, he or she will be disqualified.

Once the Circles are complete, the Extra Battles and Top 16 stages will take place. They will happen on a fully online basis, with the Tournament Manager contacting the athletes to request their videos. Just like in previous stages, any freestyler who doesn’t send their clips on time will be disqualified.

Last but not least, the best freestylers will make it to the Grand Finals, happening in a live event which will be broadcast on the official channels of the WFFA.

    Rules

The 2024 edition of the WFFA NextGen Championship will use the Official Rules of Freestyle Football for its battles. Any specific rules and regulations affecting the competition will be published on the corresponding page of the WFFA website.

Awesome news for the next generation of freestylers from all around the world: one of the WFFA’s most important tournaments, the World Youth Freestyle Football Championship, is back in 2023!

This year’s competition will take place on a fully digital basis between the months of November and December. In order to offer the best and easiest experience to the athletes, the tournament will utilise the official platforms of the WFFA (namely GameDay for registrations and Tournify for results), as well as Whatsapp.

Following the tradition, the 2023 edition of the Youth Championship event will culminate in a live final that will be broadcast on Twitch, YouTube and Facebook: the best male and female u16 freestylers in the world will be crowned champions!

Remember: to participate in the Youth Championship, you must be 15 years of age or younger on the date in which registrations close. See below for more information!

    Registration

Registrations for the 2023 WFFA Youth Championship are completely free and will be open between November 1st and November 15th. Important: no new signups will be accepted after November 15th, so make sure to register on time!

Do not forget that in order to participate you will need to be 15 years of age or younger when registrations close on November 15th, 2023.

    Competition structure

This year, the WFFA Youth Championship will follow this timeline:

    1. November 1st to November 15th: Registration period. No registrations will be accepted after November 15th at 23:59h CET
    2. November 16th to November 20th: Qualification stage. Freestylers will be asked to send their qualification videos between those dates. No videos will be accepted after November 20th at 23:59h CET
    3. November 28th to December 3rd: Top32 stage in Circles format, all happening via Whatsapp. No videos will be accepted after December 3rd at 23:59h CET; if a freestyler sends fewer than the regular 3 videos (one per round), the judges will evaluate his or her performance on the basis of the two first videos and deduct the corresponding percentage of the third
    4. December 10th: Grand Finals (Top8, Semifinals, Bronze Battles, Finals) happening on a live event; participants will get all information beforehand so they can prepare accordingly

    Format

In the qualification stage, the clips of the participants will be evaluated by five different judges, who will give them scores on a scale from 1 to 10. The marks from the three judges will be added up, and the participants will then be ranked according to their total score. In case of a score draw between two freestylers, the Head of Judging will intervene and use his quality vote to break the tie.

The circles will then be created according to the aforementioned ranking from the qualification stage and following the usual seeding procedure: the freestyler ranked first will be placed in a group with the last, the second with the second last, and so on.

In the circles, five judges will evaluate and score each of the three videos sent by the participants on a scale of 1 to 10. The best-ranked freestyler in each of the circles will progress onto the next stage; the general ranking coming from these circles (that is, the total amount of points earned by each freestyler, accumulating the points earned by each of their three videos) will be used to determine the battles in the Top16. In case of a score draw between two freestylers, their marks in the Qualification stage will be used to break the tie.

    Rules

The 2023 edition of the WFFA Youth Championship will use the Official Rules of Freestyle Football for its battles. Any specific rules and regulations affecting the competition will be published on the corresponding page of the WFFA website.

    Judges

Tournify Check the official website of the tournament on Tournify: click on the logo for more details!

The biggest and most prestigious open competition in the Freestyle Football global circuit, Super Ball, will be back in 2023! This time, the event will feature a completely new and expanded outdoor location in the city of Prague, in the Czech Republic.

The 2023 edition of Super Ball will take place at Gutovka Park in the Czech capital, with the nearby Comfort Hotel Prague city East acting as the centre of operations. The best freestylers from all over the world, including an estimated 400 participants from over 40 countries, will gather between August 6th and 11th to show off their best skills in an attempt to be crowned champion across as many as 7 different categories for both male and female.

Over the week, the Comfort Hotel will also play host to the Freestyle Football Congress, a unique platform created by the World Freestyle Football Association (WFFA) to discuss and forge the future of the sport together with the global community.

Among the new features of this year’s edition of Super Ball will be a special opportunity for all freestylers under the age of 16: the newly created NextGen category. This is a mixed 1×1 battle competition which will enable all young talents to showcase their potential and prove themselves on the biggest stage. Also, for the first time ever, the Grand Finals will be held on a Friday, a decision aimed at giving freestylers a full weekend to enjoy themselves with the global community.

Just like its predecessors, Super Ball 2023 will be an open event. This means athletes of all levels and nationalities will be able to participate. The signups process will open on March 1st and close on July 30th; there will be no extensions this year, so all athletes who haven’t signed up by the end of the registration period will not be allowed to compete.

For the first time, the WFFA has set up a refund policy for registrations; athletes who can’t travel due to a justified reason (i.e. sickness, injury or denial of travel visa) can ask for their money back, but only before June 30th. The organising committee strongly recommends all athletes who need a visa to get their invitation letter first using the widget on the Super Ball website: once they are cleared to travel, they may sign up as participants.

    .
This year’s edition of the tournament will include 7 disciplines, each of them with its male and female categories:

    • Freestyle 1×1 Battles: the main competition of the event, a clash of individual quality and mental strength in which two athletes compete by showing their best skills to the team of judges.
    • Routine: a showcase of individual mastery in which an athlete demonstrates their quality alongside their music to impress and entertain.
