The 2023 global Freestyle Football circuit travels to the land of the Rising Sun: Pulse Hiroshima, the Asia-Pacific qualifier for the Finals of the World Freestyle Football Championship, is around the corner!

This instalment of the Pulse Series will take place in the city of Hiroshima, in Japan, with the qualifiers and finals happening at the NTT Cred Hall on September 16th between 10 am and 7:30 pm. The best 8 freestylers (4 males and 4 females) will earn themselves a trip to Nairobi, Kenya to participate in the World Freestyle Football Championship Finals!

This Pulse Event will host a 1×1 battles competition open to all freestylers from the Asia-Pacific region; to ensure that their country is eligible for this competition, freestylers can check the official Regional Division of the WFFA. The signups process will open on April 13th and close on September 11th; there will be no extensions, so all athletes who haven’t signed up by the end of the registration period will not be allowed to compete.

The WFFA has set up a refund policy for registrations for all Pulse Events; athletes who can’t travel due to a justified reason (i.e. sickness, injury or denial of travel visa) can ask for their money back, but in the case of the Hiroshima event, only before August 31st. The organising committee strongly recommends all athletes who need a visa to get their invitation letter first using the widget available below: once they are cleared to travel, they may sign up as participants.

Athletes under the age of 18 will be allowed to participate, but they will need to upload a signed Parental Form at the end of the registration process. For more details, check the links below!

2023年の世界フリースタイルフットボール・サーキットは、日本のPulse Hiroshimaにやってきます。これは、世界フリースタイルフットボール選手権大会決勝戦のアジア太平洋地域予選です。

この回のPulse Seriesイベントは、日本の広島市で行われ、予選と決勝は9月16日にNTTクレッドホールで午前10時から午後7時30分まで行われます。最も優れた8人のフリースタイル選手（男性4人、女性4人）は、ケニア・ナイロビで行われるワールドフリースタイルフットボール選手権決勝への切符を手に入れます！

このPulse Eventは、アジア太平洋地域から参加可能な1対1のバトル大会を開催します。出場可能な国については、フリースタイラーはWFFAの公式地域区分を確認できます。申し込みは4月13日に開始され、9月11日に締め切ります。延長はありませんので、登録期間終了までに申し込まなかったアスリートは出場できません。

WFFAは、Pulse Eventsの参加登録に対する返金ポリシーを設けています。正当な理由（病気、怪我、渡航ビザの拒否など）により旅行できないアスリートは、払い戻しを申請できます。ただし、広島イベントに関しては、8月31日までに申請する必要があります。組織委員会は、ビザが必要なすべてのアスリートに、下記のウィジェットを使用して招待状を取得することを強く推奨しています。渡航が許可された後、参加者として登録することができます。

The Maldives join the WFFA Global Network

The World Freestyle Football Association keeps growing around the world: this November, the Maldives was confirmed as the newest member of the Global Network, an international structure that now includes 116 countries from all inhabited continents.

The new incorporation of the Maldives is the result of the agreement between the WFFA and local athlete and community leader Mohamed Saif Zahir, one of the country’s most successful and celebrated freestylers. The deal will help boost the development of the Maldives scene with the constant support and guidance of the WFFA.

Steve Elias, President of the WFFA, said: “We are extremely happy to welcome a new member to the organised Freestyle Football community worldwide: it’s really exciting to see how the sport keeps extending unstoppably at a global scale! We’re really looking forward to supporting the expansion of Freestyle Football in the Maldives and in the whole region”.

Mohamed Saif Zahir, the newly appointed WFFA Country Leader in the Maldives, said: “I am honoured by the responsibility of guiding and supporting the development of the local Freestyle Football community in my homeland. We have a number of rising talents that will definitely benefit from our affiliation with the WFFA: I can’t wait to start working with them and the Association to grow the sport in the Maldives!”.

Pekko ‘PeGe’ Piirto, Head of the Global Network at the WFFA and a leading figure in the establishment of the deal, said: “I can’t stress enough how proud the constant expansion of the Global Network makes me feel. The growth of our sport is a source of great joy and hope for the future. I’m certain that Saif will do an amazing job at helping the local community thrive and flourish!”.

Battle Pools for the Regional Qualifiers of Red Bull Street Style 2022 announced!

The World Freestyle Football Association has announced today all the groups of the Battle Pools that will integrate the Red Bull Street Style Regional Qualifiers of 2022. This stage of the tournament will run from July 11th to August 8th; participating freestylers will battle their peers in thrilling contests that will decide which athletes represent their countries and their regions in the Regional Finals that will take place in late August.

As usual in Red Bull Street Style, an elite team of judges will evaluate the battles and pick a winner according to the Rules of the Tournament. All participant freestylers are advised to check the WFFA App on a regular basis to make sure no deadline is missed.
