The biggest and most prestigious open competition in the Freestyle Football global circuit, Super Ball, will be back in 2025! This year, the event leaves the Czech Republic for the first time ever and moves to the city of London, in the United Kingdom, to offer a variety of amazing locations for all of its competitions!

The 2025 edition of Super Ball will take place at the SportsDock arena, next to the University of East London campus. The best freestylers from all over the world, including an estimated 500 participants from over 40 countries, will gather between August 25th and 29th to show off their best skills in an attempt to be crowned champion across as many as 7 different categories for both male and female athletes.

Over the week, the event hotel will also play host to the Freestyle Football Congress, a unique platform created by the WFFA to discuss and forge the future of the sport together with the global community.

Just like its predecessors, Super Ball 2025 will be an open event: this means athletes of all levels and nationalities will be able to participate, including the youngest ones thanks to the NextGen tournament for freestylers under the age of 16. The athletes competing in this tournament will need to be 15 years of age or younger on the check-in date, August 25th. The signups process will open on May 14th and close on August 18th; there will be no extensions, so all athletes who haven’t signed up by the end of the registration period will not be allowed to compete. All participants and visitors will get a wristband when they check in to access all areas of the event. There will be extra wristbands available for visitors who want to buy them on-site, but not for participants: signing up on-site is not allowed!

This year, registration for the event will happen through FS Meet, a tool developed by the amazing German community – truly by freestylers, for freestylers! The WFFA has set up a refund policy for registrations; athletes who can’t travel due to a justified reason (i.e. sickness, injury or denial of travel visa) can ask for their money back, but only before July 30th. The organising committee strongly recommends all athletes who need a visa to get their invitation letter first using the widget available at the beginning of the registration process on FS Meet: once they are cleared to travel, they may sign up as participants.

The 2025 Super Ball Finals, starting on Friday, August 29th at 15:40h BST, will be of free access for all freestylers and fans; however, anyone willing to come enjoy the full week (Monday to Friday) will be asked to get a Visitor Pass when registering via FS Meet. Check out the full schedule of the event below for more details!

This year’s edition of the tournament will include 7 disciplines, each of them with its male and female categories (except for Kill the Beat, Routines and Crew Routines, as they’re mixed competitions):

    · 1×1 Battles: the main competition of the event, a clash of individual quality and mental strength in which two athletes compete by showing their best skills to the team of judges.

    · Routine: a showcase of individual mastery in which an athlete demonstrates their quality alongside their music to impress and entertain.

    · Double Routine: a spectacle of synchrony in which two athletes work together to show their most amazing moves combined.

    · Sick Three: a competition looking for the best combination of 3 consecutive tricks.

    · Challenge: athletes must complete tricks from a criteria list to pass through each round, getting progressively more difficult and a limited number of attempts; specially designed for lovers of fast combinations with the lower body.

    · Kill the Beat: a competition in which freestylers need to mix their tricks with a set music track… in a live format!

    · Iron Man & Woman: a marathon in basic lower body combinations and stamina – only for the toughest athletes!

The biggest and most prestigious open competition in the Freestyle Football global circuit, Super Ball, will be back in 2023! This time, the event will feature a completely new and expanded outdoor location in the city of Prague, in the Czech Republic.

The 2023 edition of Super Ball will take place at Gutovka Park in the Czech capital, with the nearby Comfort Hotel Prague city East acting as the centre of operations. The best freestylers from all over the world, including an estimated 400 participants from over 40 countries, will gather between August 6th and 11th to show off their best skills in an attempt to be crowned champion across as many as 7 different categories for both male and female.

Over the week, the Comfort Hotel will also play host to the Freestyle Football Congress, a unique platform created by the World Freestyle Football Association (WFFA) to discuss and forge the future of the sport together with the global community.

Among the new features of this year’s edition of Super Ball will be a special opportunity for all under-16 freestylers to shine: the newly created NextGen category. This is a 1 vs 1 battle competition which will enable all young talents to showcase their potential and prove themselves on the biggest stage. Also, for the first time ever, the Grand Finals will be held on a Friday, a decision aimed at giving freestylers a full weekend to enjoy themselves with the global community.

Just like its predecessors, Super Ball 2023 will be an open event. This means athletes of all levels and nationalities will be able to participate. The signups process will open on March 1st and close on July 30th; there will be no extensions this year, so all athletes who haven’t signed up by the end of the registration period will not be allowed to compete.

To sign up for the event, check the official Event Page on the WFFA website or register directly via GameDay!

    .
This year’s edition of the tournament will include 7 disciplines, each of them with its male and female categories:

    • Freestyle 1×1 Battles: the main competition of the event, a clash of individual quality and mental strength in which two athletes compete by showing their best skills to the team of judges.
    • Routine: a showcase of individual mastery in which an athlete demonstrates their quality alongside their music to impress and entertain.
    • Double Routine: a spectacle of synchrony in which two athletes work together to show their most amazing moves combined.
    • Sick Three: a competition looking for the best combination of 3 consecutive tricks.
    • Challenge: athletes must complete tricks from a criteria list to pass through each round, getting progressively more difficult and a limited number of attempts; specially designed for lovers of fast combinations with the lower body.
    • Kill the Beat: a competition in which freestylers need to mix their tricks with a set music track… in a live format!
    • Iron Man & Woman: a marathon in basic lower body combinations and stamina – only for the toughest athletes!

Lukáš Škoda, Super Ball Event Director, said: “We are very happy to present an outdoors Super Ball again, retaking the tradition of massively successful years such as 2017 and 2018. Our priority has always been catering to the needs of the community, and hence we are really excited to incorporate the NextGen category and to move the Grand Finals to a Friday – we hope this will give athletes more time to rest and enjoy their time together!”

Steve Elias, President of the WFFA, said: “It’s an absolute pleasure and honour for the WFFA to organise the biggest open championship in the sport of Freestyle Football yet another year. Edition after edition, we keep witnessing the extraordinary growth of our discipline; moving to Park Gutovka will surely help increase the visibility of the event… and motivate the athletes to push the limits of the sport even further!”

Kitti Szász, former Freestyle Football World Champion and member of the Super Ball 2023 judges panel, said: “From a judging perspective, it’s awesome to observe how much the sport keeps growing year after year. After the much-needed opening of all disciplines to female athletes last year, I think the creation of the NextGen category is a new great step in the right direction: I’m really looking forward to judging the skills of its participants!”

The 2023 Super Ball will be organised in partnership with local event production company PJ Art Production, an alliance that has guaranteed high-quality standards and success for the last 10 years in a row. Following the tradition of recent years, the 2023 event will be hosted by renowned Italian speaker Lorenzo Pinciroli, an unmistakable face for the Freestyle Football community.

Co-organised by the World Freestyle Football Association, the 2022 edition of Super Ball will feature a much bigger setup than last season (twice the surface of the 2021 event) and a major innovation: the first Freestyle Football Congress, a unique opportunity to celebrate the community, imagine the future of the discipline and learn about the latest trends in sports with athletes and officials from all over the world.

The 2022 edition of Super Ball, just like its predecessors, will be an open event, and athletes from all nationalities and categories will be able to participate. The registration period will begin on June 15th, 2022: freestylers and fans from around the globe will find all key information about the competition on www.superball.world.

This year’s edition of the tournament will include 8 disciplines, each of them with male and female categories:

    • Freestyle Battles: the main competition of the event, a clash of individual quality and mental strength in which two athletes compete by showing their best skills to a team of 5 judges
    • Freestyle routine: a showcase of individual mastery in which an athlete demonstrates their quality in sync with the music
    • Double routine: a spectacle of synchrony in which two athletes show their most amazing combined moves
    • Sick Three: a competition to find the very best combination of 3 consecutive tricks
    • Challenge: a distinctive category in which athletes perform predetermined tricks at their highest speed; specially designed for lovers of fast combinations
    • Show Flow: a competition for complete freestylers to demonstrate their absolute control over all aspects of the sport
    • Iron Man: a marathon in basic lower body combinations – only for the toughest athletes!
    • Panna KO: the legendary Street Football competition in which athletes must show their skills when attacking… and keep their feet together when defending!

    Lukáš Škoda
, Super Ball Chief Tournament Director, said: “This year is particularly exciting for us. If 2021 marked the rebirth of the event after the pandemic, 2022 will represent an absolute explosion for Super Ball: we have doubled the capacity of the venue, we will offer the community more resources than ever before, and we have even added the first edition of the Freestyle Football Congress to the schedule. I have no doubt that this year will herald the start of a new era for the event – and the sport itself!”.

Steve Elias, President of the WFFA, said: “The WFFA has experienced a tremendous evolution in recent times, and this year’s edition of Super Ball will offer us a perfect opportunity to present the results of all this hard work to the global community. We have implemented a great deal of technologies and tools to help our athletes, and many more will be announced: I am really looking forward to doing so at the event!”.

Aguska Mnich, current Super Ball female champion, said: “Super Ball is a legend. For me it’s always an absolute pleasure to participate: I look forward to it every year. I have no doubt that the 2022 edition will be one of the best ever: I’ll be working very hard to renew my title there!”.

Erlend Fagerli, defending Super Ball male champion, said: “I am so excited for this year’s Super Ball! Everything I’ve been told about it makes me feel really hyped about the 2022 edition of the tournament. I’ve been working hard since last year and can’t wait to show some of my new tricks on the stage in Prague!”.

The 2022 Super Ball will be organised in partnership with local event production company PJ Art Production, an alliance that has guaranteed high-quality standards and success for the last 9 years in a row. Following the tradition of recent years, the 2022 event will be hosted by renowned Italian speaker Lorenzo Pinciroli, an unmistakable face for the Freestyle Football community.
