Great news for French freestylers: the Blacklist association is organising an awesome new competition, the Blacklist Freestyle Cup 2022!
The event will take place on Saturday, December 10th starting at 14h CET at the Espace des Cultures Urbaines, located in Grande-Synthe, in the Nord-Pas de Calais region in France.
The championship will feature a mixed 1×1 Battle tournament. Participation is free!
Great news for freestylers in Sweden – and the whole of Europe: one of the world’s best freestylers, Philip Warren Gertsson a.k.a. PWG, is organising an awesome Meet in Helsingborg, Sweden between November 4th and 6th!
The event will take place at the Aktivitetshuset Tryckeriet venue in the Swedish city. Both participation and accommodation are free for all participants: whoever wants to join only needs to bring a blanket!

Great news for freestylers in Spain – and the whole of Europe: the Goldball Freestyle Championship is back in 2022!
This year, the competition moves from Ávila to a bigger setup in the city of León, in the Castilla y León region. Between December 9th and 10th, the auditorium at the León City Council will host a 1×1 Freestyle Football competition that will include separate categories for men and women, as well as beginners.
The registration fee is 35€ and it includes two hotel nights with breakfast, lunch and dinner on December 10th, a welcome pack and health insurance. To sign up, visit the official website of the tournament!

Awesome news for freestylers in Ukraine: this month of October, the local street culture community is organising an extraordinary street sports event in Kyiv!
On October 30th, starting at 10h EET, the Urban Park VDNG will host the Street Culture Fest Kyiv 2022, a sports festival that will include a Freestyle Football tournament, as well as a workshop for rookies of the sport and 3×3 football and panna competitions.

The World Freestyle Football Association has announced today the opening of registrations for the 2022 edition of the WFFA Youth Championship, the global tournament aimed at the next generation of freestylers. This year’s Youth Championship, which will offer separate categories for boys and for girls, will change its platform and move from the old WFFA App to a more accessible format via Whatsapp: to sign up, participants only need to access the specific page of the competition in GameDay and fill in the corresponding online form before November 7th, 2022 at 23:59h CET.
The Youth Championship is an under-16 tournament, and hence anyone who wishes to participate will need to be 15 years of age or younger at the time of the closing of registrations on November 7th, 2022. No freestylers aged 16 or older will be accepted into the competition.
Once freestylers have registered correctly for the tournament, they will receive an email with a link to the Parental Form they will need to send back to the WFFA, conveniently signed by a parent or legal guardian, in order to participate in the competition. As soon as this process is completed, participants will get a message on Whatsapp (or an equivalent messaging platform for countries in which this system is not available) with instructions on how to send their qualification videos.
The 2022 edition of the WFFA Youth Championship will follow this structure:
October 24th to November 7th: Registration period. No registrations will be accepted after November 7th
November 9th to November 16th: Qualification stage. Freestylers will be asked to send their qualification videos between those dates. No videos will be accepted after November 16th
November 29th to December 5th: Top64 stage in Circles format, all happening via Whatsapp
December 12th to December 15th: Top16 stage in 1×1 battles format, all happening via Whatsapp
December 17th: Grand Finals (Top8, Semifinals, Bronze Battles, Finals) happening on a live event; participants will get all information beforehand so they can prepare accordingly
The 2022 edition of the WFFA Youth Championship will use the Official Rules of Freestyle Football for its battles. The team of judges for the tournamentwill be announced on the official channels of the WFFA before the start of the qualification round. Stay tuned!

Awesome news for the next generation of freestylers from all around the world: one of the WFFA’s most important tournaments, the World Youth Freestyle Football Championship, is back in 2022!
This year, the tournament grows and changes its platform, from the old WFFA App to a new, easier format based on Whatsapp (or an equivalent messaging tool for countries where this service is not available). In this edition of the competition, you won’t need to worry about technical issues and you’ll be able to focus completely on showing us your best Freestyle Football moves!
Remember: to participate in the Youth Championship, you must be 15 years of age or younger on the date when registrations close. See below for more information!
Registration
Registrations for the 2022 WFFA Youth Championship are completely free and will be open between October 24th and November 7th. Important: no new signups will be accepted after November 7th, so make sure to register on time!
To sign up, follow this process:
Go to theGameDay page of the event and follow the registration process: once completed, you’ll receive an email with a link to the Parental Form
Get theParental Form signed by your mother, father or legal guardian and send it back to forms@thewffa.org before November 7th, 2022
When your form is approved, you will receive a Whatsapp message and you will be able to send the qualification video
The team of judges will select the best 128 videos (64 for boys and 64 for girls) and rank them to progress onto the next stage of the competition
Do not forget that in order to participate you will need to be 15 years of age or younger when registrations close on November 7th, 2022.
Competition structure
This year, the WFFA Youth Championship will follow this timeline:

Format
In the qualification stage, the clips of the participants will be evaluated by three different judges, who will give them scores on a scale from 1 to 10. The marks from the three judges will be added up, and the participants will then be ranked according to their total score. In case of a score draw between two freestylers, the Head of Judging will intervene and use his quality vote to break the tie.
The circles will then be created according to the aforementioned ranking from the qualification stage and following the usual seeding procedure: the freestyler ranked first will be placed in a group with the last, the second with the second last, and so on.
In the circles, three judges will evaluate and score each of the three videos sent by the participants on a scale of 1 to 10. The best-ranked freestylers across all the circles will progress onto the next stage; the general ranking coming from these circles (that is, the total amount of points earned by each freestyler, accumulating the points earned by each of their three videos) will be used to determine the battles in the Top16. In case of a score draw between two freestylers, the results of the qualification stage will be used to break the tie.

The 2022 edition of the WFFA Youth Championship will use the Official Rules of Freestyle Football for its battles. Any specific rules and regulations affecting the competition will be published on the corresponding page of the WFFA website.

Between December 2nd and 3rd, the Urban Indoor Futbol venue in Miami, Florida will host a 1×1 Freestyle Football battles competition that will include separate tournaments for men and women. On October 30th starting at 14h, the StreetVibes Freestyle Football Championship Ovie 2022 will take place at the Autoserve Event Center in Warri City, Delta State!
The championship will offer a 1×1 battles tournament and a Sick Three competition. In order to participate, freestylers must upload a 60-second video to their Instagram account and tag @streetvibesff, @Sr_management_official and @Will_power_TM. The best 24 males and 8 females who participate will be selected by the team of judges and invited to join the event on-site!

On November 26th starting at 13h, the world-renowned Off-Pitch Arena in the city of Oslo will host the 2022 edition of the Norwegian Freestyle Football Championship!

Freestyle Football fans were thrilled in Pula, Croatia, as the world’s 16 best male and eight best female freestylers put on a display of style and skill at the 2022 Red Bull Street Style World Finals.
In the men’s competition, the brilliant Norwegian brothers Brynjar and Erlend Fagerli went head-to-head in a tense final battle. Brynjar produced a great performance in his final global freestyle competition before retiring, but younger brother Erlend edged a close contest to win his fourth title and complete a historic three-peat in the men’s competition.
As the competition celebrated 10 years of female participation, American Caitlyn Schrepfer wowed the crowd with her acrobatic style and signature Cait-Flip, overcoming World Finals debutant Japan’s Miyoshi Miharu in the semis before beating one of the pre-tournament favourites and former world champion, Aguska Mnich, in the final to become the first female champion from the USA.
Speaking on her first-ever global title, Caitlyn said: “It is an incredible feeling and I feel so honoured. The final was such a close battle and Aguska is an incredible freestyler. Just to be on the stage with her is a great experience let alone being able to beat her. I am so proud to represent the USA on the global stage, particularly in a sport that continues to grow every year.”
Erlend said: “Right now this feels amazing, not only because I have won but because I was able to face Brynjar in the final. It was a dream come true for both of us to face each other in this amazing arena and I think we put on a great show. Today I would say that I didn’t necessarily win, but the Fagerli brothers did.”
In the battle for third place, 2021 champion Lia Lewis from the UK defeated Japan’s Miyoshi Miharu to claim the final place on the women’s podium, while in the men’s competition Colombian Boyka Ortiz beat Jeffry Chacón from Costa Rica for the second consecutive year.
The competition was judged by five of the most respected names in the freestyle football community including head judge Miran Pirner (Croatia), Fed Massignani (Italy), Tobias Becs (Norway), Michal Rycaj (Poland) and two-times World Champion championKitti Szász (Hungary).
This year saw the brand new Red Bull Street Style People’s Choice Award introduced, with fans around the world able to vote for their favourite female and male athlete from a range of clips from the Regional Finals. The first-ever Red Bull Street Style champion, Séan Garnier (France) was on hand to announce his fellow countryman Tristan Gac and Aguska as the inaugural winners of the People’s Choice Award.
The Red Bull Street Style World Finals capped off a remarkable weekend of Freestyle Football in Pula. With the organisers already looking ahead to 2023, during the event WFFA President Steve Elias announced that next year’s Freestyle Football World Championship Finals will be hosted by Kenya, marking the competition’s first return to Africa since 2010. Next year promises to be a ground-breaking year for Freestyle Football, as for the first time ever 16 female athletes will go head-to-head in the World Finals, marking a key moment of growth for the sport.
