WFFA Super Ball World Open 2026

The biggest and most prestigious open competition in the Freestyle Football global circuit, the Super Ball World Open, is back in 2026! This year, the event goes back to the roots to better serve the global community and moves to the city of Amersfoort, in the Netherlands, to be held in a unique location – a true Home of Champions!

The 2026 edition of Super Ball will take place at the GymXL arena, the gym where the current male 1×1 Battles Champion, Jesse Marlet, trains regularly. The best freestylers from all over the world, including an estimated 500 participants from over 40 countries, will gather between August 17th and 23rd to show off their best skills in an attempt to be crowned champions across the different categories of the event for both male and female athletes.

Over the week, the event will also play host to the Freestyle Football Congress, a unique platform created by the WFFA to discuss and forge the future of the sport together with the global community.

Just like its predecessors, Super Ball 2026 will be an open event: this means athletes of all levels, genders and nationalities will be able to participate, including the youngest ones thanks to the NextGen tournament for freestylers under the age of 16. The athletes competing in this tournament will need to be 15 years of age or younger on the check-in date.

The dates of the registration process will be announced on the official channels of the WFFA. Following the regular practice of all WFFA events, there will be no extensions, so all athletes who haven’t signed up by the end of the registration period will not be allowed to compete. Signing up on site to participate is not allowed!

WFFA Pulse Santiago 2026

The global competitive circuit of Freestyle Football returns to the Americas for yet another thrilling competition: WFFA Pulse Santiago, the South American qualifier for the Finals of the World Freestyle Football Championship, is around the corner!

This new instalment of the Pulse Series will take place in Santiago de Chile between October 7th and 11th. The best 8 freestylers (4 males and 4 females) will earn themselves a trip to the World Freestyle Football Championship!

Besides the 1×1 Battles competition acting as the qualifier for the World Finals, the Pulse Santiago 2026 week will also include the Pan American Freestyle Football Open, a tournament for all freestylers from the continent which will feature the following categories:

Routine
Challenge
Sick Three
Iron Man & Woman
Panna 1×1

The Pan American Open will also include two new categories: a National 5×5 Freestyle Battles championship, a competition created specifically for National teams of 5 freestylers (with one single team per country), and a 3×3 Street Football event which will take place before the start of the Freestyle Football tournament. Participants to both of these tournaments will be asked to let the organisers know at the check-in which team they are in and who is their captain to formalise their registration and pay the corresponding fee (50€ per 5×5 Freestyle National team, 30€ per 3×3 Street Football team).

The signups process for this event will open on April 2nd and close on September 21st; there will be no extensions, so all athletes who haven’t signed up by the end of the registration period will not be allowed to compete.

The WFFA has set up a refund policy for registrations for all Pulse Events: athletes who can’t travel due to a justified reason (i.e. sickness, injury or denial of travel visa) can ask for their money back, but in the case of the Santiago de Chile event, only before August 30th.

We expect all participants to sign up using the FS Meet widget; however, if a freestyler finds issues in the payment process or doesn’t have the ability to pay via credit card, we kindly ask them to send us an email at pulse-series@worldfreestylefootball.org and we’ll find an alternative solution for them at a small extra cost.

The organising committee strongly recommends all athletes who need a visa to get their invitation letter first using the form available below. Once they are cleared to travel, they may sign up as participants.

Athletes under the age of 18 will be allowed to participate, but they will need to send a signed Parental Form to pulse-series@worldfreestylefootball.org at the end of the registration process. For more details, check the links below!

WFFA Online Pulse Africa 2026

The global competitive circuit of the WFFA travels to Africa for yet another thrilling Freestyle Football competition: WFFA Online Pulse Africa 2026, the African Championship and official qualifier for the Finals of the World Freestyle Football Championship, is around the corner!

To help athletes from all across Africa, this new instalment of the Pulse Series will take place on a fully online basis between June 15th and July 19th, including qualifiers and a live online final that will decide the two finalists (a man and a woman) that will represent the continent at the World Finals.

This Pulse Event will host a 1×1 battles competition open to all freestylers from the African region. To ensure that their country is eligible for this competition, freestylers can check the official Regional Division of the WFFA.

The registration process for this event will open on March 31st and close on June 1st; there will be no extensions, so all athletes who haven’t signed up by the end of the registration period will not be allowed to compete.

Once the registration process is complete, all athletes will be contacted individually via WhatsApp with instructions on how to participate.

This new instalment of the Pulse Series will take place in the city of CDMX, in Mexico. The qualifiers will be held on October 24th; the Finals will happen on the next day, October 25th. The best 7 freestylers (3 males and 4 females) will earn themselves a trip to the World Freestyle Football Championship!

This Pulse Event will host a 1×1 battles competition open to all freestylers from the North American region. To ensure that their country is eligible for this competition, freestylers can check the official Regional Division of the WFFA.

The global competitive circuit of Freestyle Football travels to Europe for yet another thrilling competition: WFFA Pulse Chateauroux, the European qualifier for the Finals of the World Freestyle Football Championship, is around the corner!

This new instalment of the Pulse Series will take place at Équinoxe – Scène Nationale in the city of Châteauroux, in France. The qualifiers will be held on September 19th; the Finals will happen on the next day, September 20th. The best 10 freestylers (5 males and 5 females) will earn themselves a trip to the World Freestyle Football Championship!

This Pulse Event will host a 1×1 battles competition open to all freestylers from the European region. To ensure that their country is eligible for this competition, freestylers can check the official Regional Division of the WFFA.

The signups process this event will open on March 18th and close on September 4th; there will be no extensions, so all athletes who haven’t signed up by the end of the registration period will not be allowed to compete.

WFFA Pulse Phnom Penh 2026

The global competitive circuit of Freestyle Football travels to Southeastern Asia for yet another thrilling competition: WFFA Pulse Phnom Penh, the Asia-Pacific qualifier for the Finals of the World Freestyle Football Championship, is around the corner!

This new instalment of the Pulse Series will take place at The King’s School in Vattanacville in the city of Phnom Penh, in Cambodia. The qualifiers will be held on June 6th; the Finals will happen on the next day, June 7th. The best 5 freestylers (3 males and 2 females) will earn themselves a trip to the World Freestyle Football Championship!

This Pulse Event will host a 1×1 battles competition open to all freestylers from the Asia-Pacific region. To ensure that their country is eligible for this competition, freestylers can check the official Regional Division of the WFFA.

The signups process this event will open on March 11th and close on May 30th; there will be no extensions, so all athletes who haven’t signed up by the end of the registration period will not be allowed to compete.

The WFFA has set up a refund policy for registrations for all Pulse Events: athletes who can’t travel due to a justified reason (i.e. sickness, injury or denial of travel visa) can ask for their money back, but in the case of the Phnom Penh event, only before May 10th.

We expect all participants to sign up using the FS Meet widget; however, if a freestyler finds issues in the payment process or doesn’t have the ability to pay via credit card, we kindly ask them to send us an email at pulse-series@worldfreestylefootball.org and we’ll find an alternative solution for them at a small extra cost.

The organising committee strongly recommends all athletes who need a visa to get their invitation letter first using the form available below. Once they are cleared to travel, they may sign up as participants.

Athletes under the age of 18 will be allowed to participate, but they will need to send a signed Parental Form to pulse-series@worldfreestylefootball.org at the end of the registration process. For more details, check the links below!

The WFFA announces the official regional quota for the 2026 World Freestyle Football Championship

The road to the 2026 World Freestyle Football Championship (WFFC) begins here! As athletes across the globe prepare for the upcoming Pulse Series, the WFFA Sports Committee is proud to announce the official regional slot allocations for this year’s World Final.

Following a comprehensive review of our qualification systems, the Sports Committee has introduced an updated, highly exact mathematical model to ensure that representation on the global stage is as fair, accurate, and competitive as possible.

Here is everything you need to know about how the 16 spots for the 2026 WFFC have been distributed.

Methodology: A Focus on Fairness and Precision

This year, the 16 available World Championship spots per gender have been allocated using a rigorously updated system based on two key metrics:

World Ranking Representation (40% Weight): Reflecting the current strength of each continent based on the number of players and their positions within the Top 100.
Historical WFFC Performance (60% Weight): Rewarding the highest-performing regions across the last four World Championships (2022–2025).

What’s new for 2026? To guarantee that the 40/60 weighting is perfectly preserved, the Sports Committee has implemented a Global Percentage Method. Rather than relying on raw points, each continent’s score is now calculated as an exact proportional share of the global total.

Furthermore, to prevent regional monopolization and encourage global growth, no continent may receive more than 1/3 of the available spots (capped at 5). At the same time, a mandatory minimum of 1 spot ensures all continents are represented at the World Championship. When a region reaches its 5-spot maximum, the remaining spots are distributed among the other continents using an Isolated Recalculation — meaning every single qualification spot is mathematically earned by the regions competing for it.

Therefore, the spots for the 2026 edition of the World Freestyle Football Championship are allocated as follows:

Sorø Meet 2026

In an ever-changing world, it’s nice to have some good old traditions coming back year after year… and this is precisely the case of one of the most legendary Freestyle Football meets in the world: the Sorø Meet!

The fifteenth edition of this classic event, organised by the Danish Freestyle Football Community, will take place between February 12th and 15th, 2026 at the Rosborg Gymnasium & HF of the city of Vejle, in the Syddanmark region. The venue sits around 2 hours away from Copenhagen, but it’s only 30 minutes away from the Billund International Airport.

This Meet will feature no competitions: all freestylers from everywhere in the world are welcome to join, exchange tricks and train together!

Registration is completely free!

The organisers will offer all participants the option to stay at the venue overnight, with air mattresses provided with the DFFC: those willing to do so will be asked to cooperate with 450DKK.

Isabel Wilkins and Jesse Marlet take the crown of World Champions at the most attended Freestyle Football World Finals ever

The greatest edition of the World Freestyle Football Championship in the history of the competition took place in Sopot, Poland between December 9th and 14th, 2025. After an action-packed week, full of activities, Meets and amazing Freestyle Football, two extraordinary freestylers shone brightest and took the title of World Champions: Isabel Wilkins from the United Kingdom in the female tournament and Jesse Marlet from the Netherlands in the male competition.

Over 2,500 fans, the biggest-ever attendance for a World Finals, filled the stands of the imposing Ergo Arena in Sopot to witness the incredible skills of the 32 best freestylers on the planet. All of them, together with audiences from all around the globe through a first-class live stream, could witness not just the prowess of the champions, but also of extraordinary athletes such as local hero Aguska Mnich, who reached the female Final, and French star Tristan Gac, who did the same in the male category.

With this victory, Jesse becomes one of the very few freestylers in history to win a ‘treble’: National Championship, Super Ball World Open and World Freestyle Football Championship in the same year, all without losing a single battle.

“It’s been such an incredible season!”, said Jesse, the back-to-back male World Champion. “I think going a full year without losing a battle will be difficult to recreate, so now I want to enjoy this… and take some time off!”.

“I felt confident before the battle”, said Isabel, the new female World Champion. “You never know with freestyle, but I just gave it my all and I’m very happy with my performances!”.

The World Freestyle Football Association is proud to announce its association with the prestigious US apparel brand Diaza, a first-class provider of high-quality clothing that will create an exclusive product line for the competitors in the 2025 edition of the World Freestyle Football Championship.
