The most innovative edition of the World Freestyle Football Championship in the history of the competition took place in Turin, Italy between November 8th and 16th, 2024. After an action-packed week, full of activities and amazing Freestyle Football, two extraordinary freestylers shone brightest and took the title of World Champions: Aguska Mnich from Poland in the female tournament and Jesse Marlet from the Netherlands in the male competition.

The state-of-the-art facilities of the Juventus Creator Lab, right next to the magnificent Allianz Stadium of the Piedmontese capital (home of the Italian giants Juventus FC), served as the host of a spectacular, digital-first format for the World Finals. Audiences from all around the globe could witness the defending Super Ball World Open champion, Tristan Gac, reaching the male final and taking the silver medal, while local hero Anastasia Bagaglini amazed the world with an extraordinary performance and reached the final as well.

With this victory, Aguska confirmed her status as the most successful female freestyler, adding the 6th World Championship to her trophy room. Jesse, conversely, took his first World Freestyle Football Championship, his second global trophy after a famous victory at Super Ball in 2023.

“The preparation for the tournament was very difficult due to my injury, but thanks to God, I could be here”, said Aguska, the newly-crowned Freestyle Football female World Champion. “All things are possible if you believe!”.

“I feel amazing winning my second world title at the Juventus Creator Lab”, said Jesse, the new male World Champion. “It was definitely a different experience, but it’s great to be back on top of the world!”.

The World Freestyle Football Association has announced today that the Finals of WFFA Pulse Algiers, the official African qualifier for the 2024 World Freestyle Football Championship, will finally take place on an online basis on October 24.

The restrictions imposed by the Algerian government in the process of obtaining visas for the participating freestylers have prevented a significant number of said athletes from entering the country, which in turn has triggered the decision of the Association to change the format of the tournament to ensure fair participation for all qualified sportspeople.

The Finals of WFFA Pulse Algiers will now take place as a live online event on the YouTube, Facebook and Twitch channels of the Association. More details will be announced on the official social channels of the WFFA!

The WFFA and Juventus join forces to create a new-look 2024 World Freestyle Football Championship

The World Freestyle Football Association (WFFA) has announced today an exciting new chapter in its partnership with football powerhouse Juventus and their innovative Juventus Creator Lab, this time to organise the most prestigious Freestyle Football event of the year: the World Freestyle Football Championship (WFFC).

The 2024 World Finals will take place in Turin, Italy between November 8th and 14th, utilising the cutting-edge facilities of the Juventus Creator Lab. This year’s event will feature a groundbreaking competition format, promising an unforgettable experience for both the 32 participating athletes —16 males and 16 females from all continents— and the fans all around the world.

This collaboration builds on a successful partnership that began in May 2023 when Juventus hosted the first-ever TikTok global Freestyle Football contest, won by Brazilian star Adonias, who became the official freestyler for the bianconeri. In May 2024, the Juventus Creator Lab launched the documentary Freestyle Saved My Life: The Story of Adonias Fonseca, highlighting his journey of overcoming obstacles through Freestyle Football. On the same year, Juventus was also present at the World Freestyle Football Championship in Nairobi, Kenya as an official media partner, broadcasting the World Finals on their TikTok channel —where Juventus ranks among the top 10 global brands— and rewarding selected finalists with tickets to a Serie A match at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.

“It was a pleasure and an honour to collaborate with such an iconic institution as Juventus in the TikTok freestyle contest and after the success of their live streaming from our World Freestyle Football Championship in 2023, we are excited to evolve the partnership even further”, said Dan Wood, Co-Founder of the WFFA. “The next episode of our alliance was obvious: bringing the World Championship of our sport to Turin to offer both athletes and fans a unique experience. It will be a truly innovative move for a sporting World Championship, which is credited to the vision and skills of the Juventus Creator Lab team”.

“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with the WFFA and host such a prestigious event at the Juventus Creator Lab and here in Turin,” said Mike Armstrong, Juventus’ Chief Marketing Officer. “This aligns well with our vision to engage and inspire youth through on-pitch and off activities while striving to support the freestyle football movement worldwide. The WFFA continues to impress with growth figures, incredible talent and stories, and a global footprint which makes this unique for the organisation and city.”

The competition, organised in cooperation with the Asociación Cordobesa de Freestyle Futbol, featured not just a 1×1 battles competition to determine the seven South American representatives at the World Freestyle Football Championship later this year (4 women and 3 men), but also a series of tournaments (Challenge, Sick Three, Panna 1×1, Show Flow, Iron Man & Woman, and Routines) for the Pan American community to showcase all their skills and passion for the sport.

The local crowd enjoyed a magnificent show at the latter, with hundreds of fans cheering for the tricks of the best South American freestylers.

This new instalment of the Pulse Series will take place at the Pluit Village Mall in JakartaIndonesia between October 5th and 6th. The best 7 freestylers (4 males and 3 females) will earn themselves a trip to the World Freestyle Football Championship!

The WFFA has set up a refund policy for registrations for all Pulse Events: athletes who can’t travel due to a justified reason (i.e. sickness, injury or denial of travel visa) can ask for their money back, but in the case of the Jakarta event, only before September 20th.

The organising committee strongly recommends all athletes who need a visa to get their invitation letter first using the widget available below. Once they are cleared to travel, they may sign up as participants.
